Payyoli Emirates Residents United Malayalee Association (PERUMA) was established in Dubai on 19 March 2004 for the welfare of expatriates from Payyoli area (Payyoli, Thikkodi and Thurayoor Panchayats) in the UAE. It was a modest beginning to bring all Payyolians in the UAE under one umbrella irrespective of religious-political differences. The primary earnest attempt was to uplift the Payyolians’ economic and social status on the sole basis of humanitarian and brotherly concepts.
